TOCCOA, Ga. -- The Eckerd Tritons men's golf team finished in seventh place out of 16 teams on Monday and Tuesday at the Currahee Collegiate Invite at Currahee Club.
Reggie Fear led the way with a third-place standing, two strokes out of first after shooting 10-under par across the three rounds. Fear posted a 69 in both the first and third round, while earning a tournament-best score of 68 in round two.
Drew Campbell and
Tyler Van Dusen both shot 8-over for the Tritons to end in a tie for 36th. Campbell had his best showing on Tuesday at -1, while Van Dusen also saw his strongest round on the final day at even par.
Thayne Thomas grabbed 55th overall with a score of 229 and
Henry Wigg was in 60th with a score of 231.
As a team, Eckerd tallied a final mark of 878, just three strokes out of sixth.
The Tritons will be back in action Oct. 27-28 for the Citrus Intercollegiate.
