Madi Winn named SSC Defensive Player of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Madi Winn of Eckerd women's soccer has been named the SSC Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Winn posted her first career collegiate shutout and collected a career-high 10 saves in the team's 1-0 win over Florida Tech on Saturday. She also added six saves in the team's non-conference matchup with Valdosta State earlier in the week.

This marks the first-ever weekly award for Winn and the second straight week Eckerd has been represented in the SSC's Player of the Week accolades.
