LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Ed Holloway Classic hosted by Florida Southern on Friday night in each team's final race before the SSC Championships next weekend.
Nathalia Mallo was the top finisher for the women in 24th place, clocking a time of 25:04 to lead the Tritons. Abigail Davison was in 36th overall after posting a time of 26:16, while
Summer Sorensen finished in 46th with a 27:14 mark.
Hannah Workman was close behind with a time of 27:51 to finish in 52nd, and
Julia Mattson was two spots behind in 54th with a time 28:27 to round out the top five for Eckerd.Â
On the men's side, Renn Telles was the top performer for the Tritons in a competitive field with a 66th place finish and time of 31:03. Hugh Kuffner and Evan Nobles crossed the finish line consecutively, with Kuffner's time of 32:05 putting him in 70th and Nobles mark of 33:27 good for 71st. Liav Vadel clocked a time of 39:27 for 80th and Mikkel Paulson ended in 82nd at 43:46.
The teams will be back in action next Saturday for the SSC Championships.
