BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Eckerd women's cross country team opened its 2026 campaign with a fourth-place finish at the Flagship Invitational on Friday.
The Tritons totaled 124 points, placing three runners inside the top 30 overall and all five scorers among the first 46 finishers.
Nathalia Mallo led the way for Eckerd, crossing the finish line in 18th place with a time of 19:22.58 in the 5K race. Abigail McHugh followed as the Tritons' second finisher, placing 26th overall in 19:55.54. Isabela Bermann was close behind, finishing 29th in 20:13.67.
Alessandra Gardner was the fourth Triton across the line, placing 42nd with a time of 20:50.73. Mollie Clampitt rounded out Eckerd's scoring five in 46th place, finishing in 21:16.57.
Julia Mattson crossed just behind Clampitt in 47th place with a time of 21:18.84, while Anna Koney finished 49th in 21:27.94. Abigail Davidson and Savanna James were the next Tritons to finish, recording times of 22:17.33 and 22:21.25, respectively. Summer Sorensen followed with a mark of 23:08.86.
The Tritons finished ahead of two other SSC opponents.
Eckerd will be back in action Sept. 18 for the FSU Pre-Regional.
