ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Led by a strong B Division, the Eckerd open sailing team placed sixth at the SAISA Top 18 Invite at the Doyle Sailing Center over the weekend with 148 points.
Lily Schwartz and
Eloise Weiss compromised the B Division, finishing with 59 points in sixth place. They placed in the top five in six races, highlighted by back-to-back third-place finishes in races six and seven.
Carter Morin and
Tess Levanway paced the A Division, finishing ninth with 89 points. They placed fifth in race five.
Jacksonville won the regatta with 50 points.
Eckerd returns to the water on March 9-10 at the Jacksonville Trophy, Ted Turner Team Race, and Bob Bavier Team Race.
