GREENSBORO, NC -
Cam Collier adds to his postseason accolades from his first year with the Tritons with a selection to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) South Region All-Defensive Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday, June 22.
Collier, an outfielder from St. Petersburg, Florida, was also selected to the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Team last month. Defensively, he led Eckerd in the outfield with a perfect fielding percentage while starting in all 39 games he played in. He posted 78 putouts while logging seven assists and helping turn two double plays.
Offensively, Collier hit .310, which ranked fifth on the squad. He also posted a .405 on-base percentage and .472 slugging percentage. He added eight doubles, five homeruns, and 31 RBIs.
On March 18, Collier went 2-for-3 with two homeruns and six RBIs in a win over Palm Beach Atlantic.
He is one of six Sunshine State Conference players to be named to the south region defensive team.
