EW ORLEANS, La. - The Eckerd open sailing team placed fourth at the Nelson Roltsch Team Race over the weekend.
Mathew Months,
Eden Nykamp, and
Griffin Richardson were the team's skippers, with
Amelia Johnson,
Elissa Martinez, and
Brooks Jordan as crew. Eckerd finished with a 3-9 record.
Eckerd claimed a win over Jacksonville in the opening round with a 1-2-6 winning combination. They also used a 1-2 winning combination in rounds two and three over Jacksonville.
Host, Tulane, won the regatta with an 11-1 record.
Eckerd returns to the water on Friday, hosting the SAISA Open Team and Fleet Race Championships at the Doyle Sailing Center.
