ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd open sailing team placed second with 20 points at the Eckerd Trophy at the Doyle Sailing Center over the weekend.
Eckerd was just six points behind the leader, Jacksonville.
The Tritons placed in the top five in all races over both divisions. Racing was limited to three races per division.
Morgan Smith and
Eloise Weiss competed in the A Division with eight points. They finished second in the opening and third race.
Tess Levanway and
Carter Morin sailed in the B Division with 12 points, coming in third in the opening race.
Eckerd has a weekend off before traveling to Winter Park for the Lake Virginia Invite.
