LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Eckerd sailing team placed seventh with 92 points in a deep field at the Rose Bowl Regatta over the weekend.
Matthew Monts and
Anna O'Reilly comprised the A Division to a sixth-place finish with 39 points, two points from moving up the leaderboard. The tandem finished in the top five in four of the six races, with a third-place showing in the third race and fifth-place finishes in races two, four, and six.
Griffin Richardson and
Elissa Martinez finished ninth in the B Division with 53 points. They vaulted up the leaderboard with a fourth-place finish in the fifth race.
Georgetown won the event with 16 points.
Eckerd returns to the water February 18-19 to start its spring campaign at the SAISA Open at the Doyle Sailing Center.
