ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd sailing team finished third at the Miami Trophy while placing fifth at the Sugar Bowl over the weekend.
At the Miami Trophy in Coral Gables, Florida, the Tritons placed third with 22 points.
Griffin Richardson and Tess Levanway led the A Division with a pair of first-place finishes in race two and three while finishing with six points.
Ethan Godfrey and
Olivia Stortz competed in the B Division with 16 points.
Miami won the event with 11 points.
Eckerd finished fifth at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana, with 149 points.
Eden Nykamp and
Amelia Johnson comprised the A Division finishing with 51 points in fourth. They placed second in the second race and fourth in race seven.
Tia Soultanakis and
Tess Heilman led the B Division with 98 points.
Host, Tulane, won the event with 54 points.
