CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Eckerd sailing team finished second at the SAISA Top Six Invite while coming in fifth at the USF Trophy over the weekend.
At the SAISA Top Six Invite in Coral Gables, Florida, Eckerd finished with 100 points, 30 points ahead of Jacksonville. The Tritons sat in first place after Saturday's races.
Eden Nykamp and
Amelia Johnson led the A Division to a second-place finish with 36 points. The duo placed within the top three in eight of the regatta's 10 races, including a first-place finish in the opening race.
Griffin Richardson and
Tess Heilman comprised the B Division, finishing second with 64 points. The tandem won race three and finished second in race two.
Host, Miami, won the event with 80 points.
At the USF Trophy in St. Petersburg, Florida, Eckerd finished with 183 points, just one point from moving up the leaderboard to fourth.
Tia Soultankakis and
Olivia Stortz led the B Division to a third-place finish with 79 points, while
Lily Schwartz and
Anna O'Reilly competed in the A division with 104 points.
Jacksonville won the event with 68 points.
Eckerd returns to the water at the Miami Trophy in Coral Gables, Florida, and the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana, next weekend.
