CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Eckerd sailing team received a strong performance in the B Division at South Points #5 over the weekend as the Tritons placed fourth.
Eckerd finished with 94 points, only three points from moving up the leaderboard to pass Embry-Riddle in third.
The tandem of
Lily Schwartz and
Ethan Godfrey sailed in the B Division to a third-place finish with 31 points. The duo finished in the top four in the final seven races, highlighted by runner-up placing in the third race and final two races.
Cameron Robinson skippered the A Division with Ben Carrol (1-4) and
Anna O'Reilly (5-9) as crew for 63 points and an eighth-place finish.
Host, Miami, won the regatta with 40 points, a 21-point advantage over South Florida.
Eckerd returns to the water this weekend at South Points #6 in Winter Haven, Florida, and at the Hanbury Trophy in Newport News, Virginia.
