TAMPA, Fla.- The Eckerd sailing team finished fourth at the Frank I Mendelblatt team race in Tampa over the weekend.
Sean Tallman,
Cameron Robinson,
Griffin Richardson, and
Eden Nykamp were the team's skippers, while
Amelia Johnson,
Elissa Martinez, and
Brooks Jordan served as crew as the Tritons finished with a 4-6 record.
On Saturday, Eckerd earned wins over Jacksonville and Rollins using a 1-2-6 and a 1-2-3 winning combination, respectively, for the victories.
On Sunday, the Tritons earned victories over the Dolphins and Tars again with 2-3-4 and 1-2-3 winning placements.
The College of Charleston won the event with an 8-2 record in a tiebreaker over Miami.
Eckerd returns to the water next weekend for two events. EC hosts the Eckerd Intersectional at the Doyle Sailing Center and travels to Tampa for South Points #3.
