Galuski Inducted to Upstate New York Basketball Hall of Fame

Ballston Lake, NY - Eckerd men's basketball head coach, Bryan Galuski, was inducted into the Upstate New York Basketball Hall of Fame on Sunday, August 1. 

Galuski, a native of Latham, New York, prepped at Shaker High School, graduating in 1994. 

He then spent four years in a Triton uniform from 1994-98, amassing 811 points, 379 rebounds, and 154 steals. In 1997-98, he ranked eighth nationally in steals per game, where he was also garnered All-SSC First Team honors that season. He helped lead Eckerd to the program's first regular-season Sunshine State Conference Championship in 1994-95.  

After his playing career, Galuski turned to the sidelines.  He served as an assistant coach at Eckerd from 1998-2005, where he helped the team reach the Elite Eight in 2003 and four additional trips to the national tournament.   

He continued his coaching career at Division III Greensboro College (NC), spending 13 seasons as the head coach becoming the program wins leader. He also led the team to the USA South Conference Regular Season Championship in 2007. Galuski spent the final four years in a dual role as the athletic director. 

In April 2019, Galuski returned to Eckerd, becoming only the third permanent head coach in men's basketball history. In his first season, Eckerd set a new single-game record for 3-pointers on November 23, 2019.
