GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Two members of the Eckerd men's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Koa Baker and
Timothy Thompson were among those recognized.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® men's basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Baker, a senior from Eagle Mountain, Utah, is a Psychology major at Eckerd. He appeared in 25 games, ranking third on the team at just over 11 points per game. He also led the team with 74 assists and was second in rebounding at 5.6 per contest.
Thompson, a senior from Georgetown, Guyana, is majoring in Business Administration. He appeared in 27 games, shot 60 percent from the floor and grabbed 145 rebounds. His 5.4 rebounds per game were third-best on the team. Thompson also finished the season with 27 blocks and 10 steals.
