Tim Scholl continued his impressive start to the fall season, firing back-to-back top-20 finishes after tying for 18th place at the South Regional Preview at the Kinderlou Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
Eckerd shot consistent scores of 301-298-301 for a three-round total of 900 and an 11th place finish.
Scholl opened play with a 73 Monday morning, highlighted by two birdies on his back nine. He followed with a 76 in the afternoon. Scholl fired his best round on Tuesday's rain-filled round with a 1-under 71, highlighted by three birdies on his front nine.
Michael Bechard fired impressive rounds on Monday with a 73 in the morning followed by a career-low 2-under 70 in the afternoon to sit in fifth place after the opening two rounds. His 70 was highlighted by an eagle on hole 11 and three birdies. However, he shot an 80 on Tuesday to place 32nd.
Cade Patterson shot his best round Monday morning, with a 75. He followed with a 77 in the afternoon and a 76 on Tuesday.
Nick Zizzo shot an opening-round 80 before trimming four strokes for a 76 in the afternoon. He followed with a 77 on Tuesday.
Noah Cone opened with an 81 before improving to a 76 Monday afternoon. He followed with a 77 on Tuesday.
Austin Fulton of West Georgia claimed low-medalist honors with an 8-under 208. Newberry College won the team title with an 863.
Eckerd returns to the course next Monday and Tuesday at the Nancy Nichols Invitational in Sebring, Florida.
