ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Eckerd sailing team competed at two regattas over the weekend, coming in sixth at the Eckerd Interconference at the Doyle Sailing Center and ninth at the Bob Bavier Team Race in Charleston, S.C.
The B Division led EC at the Eckerd Interconference.
Faviola Collazo and
Alec Fisichella finished with 39 points for a second-place finish. The tandem finished outside the top five in just one race, while winning the fifth, sixth, eighth, and twelfth races. The duo finished 30 points ahead of Northwestern in the division.
In the A Division,
Margaret MacCormack (1-8) and
Ainsley Parramore (9-12) shared Skipper duties with
Carla Szeplaki (1-4),
Emily Miller (5-8), and
Elissa Martinez (9-12) as crew for a 13
th place finish with 136 points.
Boston College won the event with 68 points.
The Tritons sailed to a ninth-place finish at the Bob Bavier Team Race with a 4-14 overall record.

Camryn Kennedy,
Liam Farese,
Jacqueline Morrison, and
Daniel Vail were crew. EC collected victories over Navy, Tulane, South Florida in the second round but fell 3-6.
Host, College of Charleston won the regatta with a 19-2 record.
Eckerd is back on the water next weekend at three events. They host the Rudkin Team Race at the Doyle Sailing Center, travel to Los Angeles, Calif. for the Harbor Cup, Jacksonville for South Points #3, and back to Charleston, S.C. for the Charleston Intersectional.
