The Tritons claimed their 17th program Sunshine State Conference Championship in 2006-07 as men's basketball topped Rollins, 67-52, to claim the SSC Tournament crown. It was Eckerd's third tournament title in program history.

Eckerd received the No. 3 seed in the tournament, breezing past Saint Leo, 76-45, in the first round before edging Barry in the second round, 63-59.

EC used a 20-4 run over the final 10 minutes to seal the tournament crown in the championship game. Matt Cenatus scored 19 points in the championship with six rebounds, while Andre King-Holland scored 17 points with eight rebounds.

Cenatus was tabbed the Tournament MVP while King-Holland was named to the All-Tournament team.
