ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to visiting John Carroll (Ohio) at the Bullard Courts on Friday.
The Blue Streaks (3-3) swept doubles, then won at each of the top three singles spots to take clinch the match victory.
Theo Schultz earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles for the Tritons' only point of the match.
Eckerd (1-6) lost two singles matches in a tiebreaker. Aaron won her first set over Madisyn Rini, 6-4, before narrowly losing the second, 7-5, and dropping the tiebreaker, 10-0. Â Kossoff was narrowly edged in her tiebreaker at No. 6 singles, 14-12.
Eckerd is back on the court on Sunday, hosting West Chester (Pa.) at 10:00 AM for senior day.
