ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Eckerd has another busy week with eight sports competing. Baseball, men's and women's basketball, and men's tennis will all be competing at home while beach volleyball and women's golf both begin their seasons this week. Softball, sailing, and women's tennis will also be in action on the road over the weekend.
WOMEN'S GOLF
Monday/Tuesday: Lady Moc Classic | Grasslands Country Club | Lakeland, Fla.
- Eckerd begins its spring season traveling to Lakeland for the Lady Moc Classic at Grasslands Country Club. The Tritons look to build off their fall season while turning to four-year starter, Sarah Greene, as well as underclassmen Maddison Davis and Laila Forstmane for low scores.

- After a dominant series sweep over Claflin (S.C.), Eckerd (5-2) looks to add to its three-game winning streak as hosting Saint Leo on Tuesday in a non-conference game while opening conference play during the weekend hosting Palm Beach Atlantic.
- The Eckerd offense has been hot so far averaging 15 hits per game over the past three games. Eckerd has shown plenty of power so far this season with nine home runs as a team. Bryan Torres leads the way for the Tritons with four homers, three of which came over the series with Claflin. Sam Cochrane, Keith Leavitt Jr. , Justin Glover, Jamaal Chaney, and Andrew Don have each smacked a homer as well.
- The Tritons have gotten strong outings from their returning pitchers, combining for a 2.92 ERA from the nine returners. Starters Dillon McCollough, Nick Alonzo, and Robin Allen have combined for 37 strikeouts over 32.2 innings pitched.
- Saint Leo (6-2) enters the contest with a series win over West Alabama. The Lions have for players hitting over .300 with Brett Coffel and Peyton Isaacson leading the way. Coffel has a team-leading nine RBIs while Isaacson has a six doubles. Isaacson also leads the relief effort for the Lions with four saves while allowing only one hit this season.
- Palm Beach Atlantic (6-5) grabbed two wins over the weekend while narrowly losing to No. 2 Tampa. The Sailfish have five players batting over .300 with Kyle Simon leading the way with six home runs and 18 RBIs. Mikhail Cazenave tops the Sailfish bullpen with a 2.88 ERA while striking out 26.

- Eckerd (19-6, 13-5 SSC) enters the week on a four-game winning streak and looks to carry that momentum as the team hosts Saint Leo on Wednesday for senior night and travels to Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday to conclude the regular season.
- Chelsea Johnson and Kacie Juday led Eckerd offensively in last week's wins. Johnson has scored in double figures in her last six games while averaging 18.5 points over both games last week. Juday has scored in double-digits in six of the last seven games averaging 13.1 points per game during the stretch.
- Juday also leads the team on defense averaging nine rebounds a game over the last seven while also grabbing 14 steals in her last four games.
- Saint Leo (12-14, 7-11 SSC) enters the contest on a four-game winning streak after a win over Lynn on Saturday. Ragen Dotson leads the Lions averaging 12.8 points per game while Alani Gallagher leads the team on the boards with 6.1 rebounds per game.
- Palm Beach Atlantic (4-20, 3-15 SSC) enters the week on an eight-game skid and plays Nova Southeastern Wednesday before hosting Eckerd on Saturday. The Sailfish are led by the conference's leading scorer, Hannah Grim, averaging 19.4 points per game. Nikiru Anyagaligbo averages 8.7 rebounds per game.
- Earlier this season, Eckerd beat both Saint Leo and Palm Beach Atlantic. In the 54-45 win over Saint Leo, Eckerd held the Lions to just 15 points in the second half. Eckerd beat the Sailfish at home, 68-44, behind 16 points from both Juday and Dallas Dickerson.
- Before the game Wednesday, Eckerd will honor its two seniors in Juday and Ada Yalcin.

- Trevon Young, Drushaun McLaurn, and Marco Behori have led Eckerd on offense as of late. Young has scored 21 or more points in the last four games, averaging 22.3 points during the stretch. McLaurn has scored in the 20's twice in his past five games while averaging 19 points per game last week. Behori has led the team from the perimeter over the last three games going 10-for-16 from behind the arc in the three-game stretch
- The team also ranks 12th in the country in rebound margin with a plus-8.8 average. The trio of Young, McLaurn, and Behori also lead the team on the boards averaging 9.5, 6.8, and 5.6 rebounds per game respectively.
- Saint Leo (12-17, 8-10 SSC) enters the week on a three-game losing streak. The Lions are led by Isaiah Hill averaging 12.1 points per game while also averaging 5.1 rebounds per game.
- Palm Beach Atlantic (14-15, 8-10 SSC) scored a win over Tampa last week and lost to Florida Tech. The Sailfish will play Nova Southeastern before hosting Eckerd. De'Ondre Jackson and Grant Gullett lead the Sailfish averaging 12.9 and 12.4 points per game respectively.
- Earlier this season, Eckerd beat both Saint Leo and Palm Beach Atlantic. Eckerd beat PBA, 89-66, behind 21 points apiece from McLaurn and Blake Morrow and beat Saint Leo, 81-71, behind an almost perfect performance at the free throw line.
- Before the game Wednesday, Eckerd will honor its three seniors: Young, Keshawn Ingram, and Paulius Zabilevicius.

- The tennis teams continue conference action this week looking to bounce back after a couple of hard-fought losses to begin the season. The men will host 16th-ranked Rollins on Thursday while both the men and women head to Florida Tech on Saturday.

- Eckerd begins the season this week while traveling to Deland for the Stetson Invitation where the Tritons will play Stetson and Florida Atlantic on Friday and Georgia State on Saturday.
- Eckerd looks to build off of last years successful season where the Tritons finished second at the Rox Small College Championships. The team turns to the tandem of Kaitlyn Sibson and Madison Whiting who finished the season 18-4 last year.

- Eckerd (3-8, 0-3 SSC) looks to bounce back after a series loss to Embry-Riddle last weekend as the Tritons travel to Florida Southern for a three-game series starting Friday night with a doubleheader Saturday.
- Eckerd leads the conference in home runs with seven. Crystal Garcia leads the team with four homers while McGinnis has hit two. Garcia also leads the team in RBIs with nine while recording a .306/.419/.694 slash line. Nikole Van Gennep tops the team with a .333 batting average and three doubles while also riding an eight-game hitting streak.
- Van Gennep also leads the team in the circle with a 3.09 ERA over 45.1 innings while striking out 25. Grace Willeck, Ally Costa, and Janna Gaburo have split the time behind Van Gennep.
- Florida Southern (4-3, 1-2 SSC) enters the series off a series loss to Tampa last weekend. The Mocs have four players hitting over .300 with Shannon Bell leading the way with a .417 batting average and two home runs. Aubry Elhers leads the team in the circle with 11 strikeouts and a 3.10 ERA over 20.1 innings.
- Over the last four year in the series with Florida Southern, at least one of the games has gone into extra innings with a series average of nearly nine innings per game over the four-year span. The longest game went 15 innings in 2014.

The women's team travels to Charleston, South Carolina, for the Charleston Women's while the coed teams will race in the Mendelblatt Team Race in Tampa and Jeremy McIntyre Team Race in California.
