TRITON TIDBITS
* After a slow start to the season, Eckerd found a groove last week winning five of its last six games including victories over three ranked opponents.  On Wednesday, the Tritons split a double-header with NAIA No. 3 Southeastern (Fla.), then capped the NFCA Leadoff Classic with wins over No. 24 California (Penn.) and No. 10 Wayne State (Mich.).
* Junior Rachael Luckett has led the EC offense thus far, batting .389 with nine RBIs and nine runs scored.  Chelsea Armstrong has also produced at the plate after moving into the middle of the order, hitting .323 with six RBIs.  Newcomer Crystal Garcia is 10 for her last 23 and has swiped seven bases already on the season.
* Sophomore pitcher Nikole Van Gennep out-dueled reigning NFCA Player of the Year Lyndsay Butler on Sunday as Eckerd defeated 10th-ranked Wayne State, 5-1 in eight innings. Van Gennep scattered eight hits over eight innings and struck out four in earning her third straight win.

ABOUT FLAGLER
* The Saints are coming off a successful run at the South/Southeast Region Crossover hosted on their home field, going 3-1 in the four games.  Flagler scored a pair of 5-0 wins over Florida Southern and Tampa on Friday, but lost its finale to Embry-Riddle, 1-0.
* Flagler is led offensively by a trio of sisters: Maddy Murphy (.375, 7 RBIs), Morgan Murphy (.355, 7 RBIs) and Natalie Murphy (.333).  Mackenzie Conley brings power to the lineup with four of her nine hits going for home runs.
* The duo of Katelynn Smith and Ally Marcano have handled the majority of the team's work in the circle thus far.  Smith is 2-3 with a 2.19 ERA while Marcano is 3-1 with a 3.46 ERA.
