TRITON TIDBITS
* Eckerd dropped its fifth straight game last night falling to Warner (Fla.), 9-2. Â The Royals scored in each of the first five innings to take a 9-1 lead, and the Tritons were unable to narrow the gap in the closing innings.
* The Tritons got strong relief performances in last night's game from
Nick Alonzo,
Steven Salisbury,
Gardner Nutter and

* Freshman

ABOUT AVE MARIA
* The Gyrenes opened conference play last weekend against NAIA powerhouse St. Thomas (Fla.) and were swept in the three-game series. Â They'll look to get back on track tonight after winning six of their first seven games.
* One of AVU's wins came over Sunshine State Conference member Barry University on February 8, 11-3. Â A four-run second and three-run eighth made a big difference in the outcome.
