GAMES 44-46: Eckerd (24-18-1, 8-10 SSC) at Tampa (13-17, 5-10 SSC)

COVERAGE: Watch | Stats

RECORD CHASING: Senior Kaycie Duncan already laid claim to the EC career lead in both RBIs and walks this season.  Last weekend, she tied for second on the career hits list thanks to a two-run home run in the first inning of the series finale against Florida Tech.  Now she is giving chase to the program's single-season RBI record of 41, set by Sherry Howell in 1990.  Duncan enters the weekend with 31, ranking sixth in conference, and has been EC's best producer in conference play hitting .304 with five home runs and 15 RBIs against SSC competition.  Duncan finished three RBIs short of tying the single-season program record in her sophomore year.

DOUBLE DOWN: Sophomore Rachael Luckett is currently tied for the doubles lead in the Sunshine State Conference with 13.  As a team, Eckerd ranks fifth in the SSC with 55 doubles.  Luckett needs four more doubles to tie the Eckerd single-season record.

WALK THIS WAY: While the Tritons are hitting .251 as a team, they've still been able to create scoring opportunities with excellent patience at the plate.  EC ranks second in the SSC in walks drawn with 127, helping the team to a .332 on-base percentage.

CIRCLE STALWART: Freshman pitcher Nikole Van Gennep has been a stalwart in the circle for Eckerd during her rookie season, entering the weekend with a 1.70 ERA and 14 wins.  With 10 games remaining, she will have the chance to set new program single-season records in games pitched (33, eight short of record), innings pitched (180.1, 37.1 short of record) and ERA (1.70, currently the lowest).
