LAST TIME OUT: Eckerd kick-started its home stretch with an 8-6 victory over Webber International. The Tritons relied on their bullpen as

Matt MacMahon's sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the inning scored
Nick Conti for the go-ahead run.
CONTACT HITTERS: As a team, the Tritons have struck out fewer times at the plate than any other team in the SSC with just 178 strikeouts on the season. The Tampa Spartans follow with 228 strikeouts while Saint Leo is just one behind them. EC also has four of the top ten hitters in the category as

Lucas Luopa,
Carter Cashman, and
Daniel Autiello are all under 10 strikeouts each. Calandra leads the conference having struck out just three times so far during his freshman campaign.
WEEKEND STARTERS: The trio of
Jack Mahan,
Alex Moore, and
Dillon McCollough have become the regular arms on the mound for the Tritons during the pivotal weekend series. All three pitchers are listed among the conference leaderboards in multiple categories including Mahan leading the league in hits allowed with Mahan right behind him in second place. McCollough is not far behind either in sixth.
LAST MEETING: Last season, the Tritons took game the series-opener from the Sailfish 2-0 behind a strong pitching performance by
Jimmy Gutowski while
Grant Banko drove in the winning run in the sixth inning. The first half of the double header was well in PBA's favor as EC fell 12-4. However, the two teams battled through a marathon in the rubber game that saw PBA take the walk-off victory in the bottom of the 14th inning.
