Box Score ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A combined 16 runs on 25 hits between the Eckerd College baseball team and Webber International made for a high scoring game with the Warriors grabbing the 9-7 victory on Wednesday night.
The bats came out for the Tritons in the bottom of the first with two away in the inning.
Mike Abraham singled to left plating
Rowdy Andrews.
Andrew Don followed up with a three run home run over the left center field wall to put his team up 4-0.
EC came back in the second inning to create another two out nightmare for the Warriors with Petika scoring on a throwing error by the defense.

Eckerd's seventh and final run of the ball game came in the third inning when
Lorenzo Vazquez deposited his first long ball of the season. A solo shot over the left field wall.
WIU scored one run in the top of the fourth before unloading for five more in the fifth. Trailing by one heading into the top of the eighth, the Warriors brought in three runs on four hits to take a two run lead. The Tritons were able to bring the tying run to the plate in the ninth, but fell 9-7.
Vazquez ended the night a perfect 3 for 3 with a walk. Andrews also notched a three hit game while Cashman went 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Ben Deaver got the start on the mound going 4.1 innings.
Kyle Harding suffered his second loss of the season pitching the final two innings.
Eckerd (13-19, 3-10) will have six days off before returning to action on Tuesday. The team will host Clearwater Christian College for a nine inning affair beginning at 7 pm.
