Box Score 2 WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – In a non-conference match up, the Eckerd College baseball team dropped the final two games of the series to Palm Beach Atlantic, 12-4 and 8-7 on Saturday afternoon. 
The Tritons (11-6, 3-1 SSC) fell to the Sailfish (8-7) in game one 12-4, while losing a heartbreaking 14 inning game two, 8-7.
Game One – Palm Beach Atlantic 12, Eckerd 4 Kevin Plant was tagged with the loss in game one as the Sailfish offense unloaded in the second inning to take an early 5-0 lead.
Carter Cashman nabbed the first RBI of the game scoring 
Jake O'Rourke who earned a walk to start the third inning.
Eckerd added two more runs in the sixth off the bats of 
Grant Banko and 
Andrew Don. PBA answered adding four more runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Banko doubled in the eighth to bring in Cashman which would be Tritons final run of the contest.
Lucas Luopa and Banko grabbed two hits apiece in game one.
Game Two – Palm Beach Atlantic 8, Eckerd 7The Tritons fought hard in extra innings, but fell just one run short of taking home the victory in the second game. 
Nick Alonzo was tagged with the loss giving up the winning run in the 14th. 
Mike Eagan had the start in game two and was succeeded by five other pitchers before Alonzo took over.
Rowdy Andrews scored the first run of the game in the top of the first with a single scoring Luopa who led off the inning with a walk. PBA then added one run in the bottom half of the first and second, but were quiet in the middle innings.
Palm Beach held a 4-1 lead when the EC offense came back and tied it up in the eighth. Taking advantage of Sailfish errors, 
Lorenzo Vazquez scored. Vazquez was followed by Andrews and Cashman who crossed home on a single from Banko.
Three scoreless innings went by and in the top of the 12
th, Cashman tripled to deep left center scoring Andrews who had singled his way on. PBA answered back with one run in the bottom half of the inning to keep the score even at 5-5.
EC then pushed 
Matt MacMahon and 
Mike Abraham across the plate for a two run lead in the top of the 13
th off two errors from the Sailfish. Yet again, in the bottom half of the inning PBA knotted the game up again with two runs of their own.
Palm Beach scored the final run of the game off a walk and then a double down the line.
Andrews finished the game going 3 for 7 at the plate. MacMahon and Luopa doubled during the game while Cashman grabbed his second triple of the season.
Baseball will be back in action on Monday playing host to Saint Thomas University (Fla.). First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
