ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd men's basketball team plays its last road game before a five-game home stand as the Tritons visit provisional Sunshine State Conference member Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday for a 4:00 PM tipoff.

Live VideoABOUT THE SAILFISH- Palm Beach Atlantic opened the season with a comfortable win over NAIA opponent Ave Maria (Fla.) before falling on the road to fellow provisional conference member Embry-Riddle, 96-82. The Sailfish also got to pay a visit to the University of Florida for an exhibition contest earlier this month.
- Five players currently average double-digits in scoring, led by Lucas Morales (19.0). Morales did not play against Embry-Riddle. Milos Kostic made his debut against Embry-Riddle with 13 points. Bakari Warthen (16.0), Shavanno Cooper (12.5) and Michael Simpson (11.0) also have emerged as scoring threats early in the season.
- Warthen, a freshman, is already a fixture on the floor. He leads the team in minutes per game (30.0) while shooting 50 percent from the floor and grabbing six rebounds per game.
ABOUT THE TRITONS- Eckerd put together a quality performance on both ends of the floor on Wednesday to hand Saint Leo an 80-68 defeat to open conference play. The Lions averaged 95.0 points per game coming into the contest.
- Returning starters
Jerrick Stevenson and
E.J. Moody have led the way offensively for Eckerd thus far. Stevenson averages 16.0 points per game entering the weekend while Moody averages 11.3. The Tritons have been balanced with three other players -
Kevin Walsh (9.7),
Trevon Young (9.7) and
Drushaun McLaurn (9.0) - on the verge of averaging in double digits.
- Young posted the second double-double of his career on Wednesday with 14 points and 10 rebounds. He also added a career-high six assists.

Obi Kyei has led the team on the boards in the early going. The 6-foot-8 forward averages 7.3 rebounds per game.
LOOKING BACKThe Tritons took both regular-season meeting with PBA last season, winning 59-48 on the road and 90-86 at home in overtime. Eckerd has won the last three contests between the two schools.
