ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Eckerd College softball program had a tough time getting the offense tracked against a talented squad fielded by Flagler College, finishing with pair of defeats on Sunday afternoon, 6-1 and 13-0 (5 innings).
The Tritons (4-7, 0-0 SSC) were coming off a Saturday split against Northwood (Fla.) University in West Palm Beach.
Stats for the games against Northwood are still not available.
The Saints (11-2, 0-0 PBC) were present at the Eckerd College Spring Invitational held in Clearwater and went 3-2 on the weekend, Flagler's lone two losses of the season.
A four-run fourth inning by Flagler had the Saints off and running to back a strong start by Kalyn Loverich, who fanned seven hitters in five innings of scoreless work. The Saints tacked on two more runs in the fifth on Breezy Collins' third home run of the spring.
Second baseman Alona Personius also went deep, belting her third homer in the fourth.

Emily Wiemken home from second base.
Kaitlyn Dougherty lasted 4 1/3 innings in her fifth start of the year and was picked up by freshman Brittany Mitchell with 1 2/3 perfect frames.
Collings continued her torrid afternoon in game two with another home run and a double as Flagler pounded out 18 hits in a shortened five-inning affair. Donna Munafo collected her fifth-straight win on the mound with four scoreless innings.
Personius went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI.

The Tritons will look to rebound in Babson Park against NAIA-affiliated Webber International University on Wednesday evening for a doubleheader under the lights. The first pitch between the Tritons and Warriors will be thrown around 6 p.m.
