Eckerd-Saint Leo Box Score
SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo scored four runs in the first inning and tallied 15 hits overall in a 9-1 victory over the visiting Eckerd College softball team on Wednesday.
Alex Garris went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored to help the Lions (24-28, 8-15 Sunshine State Conference) take the opener of a three-game series.
The first five hitters in the Saint Leo lineup recorded at least two hits and combined for seven runs scored.
Kristen Schurr and
Sarah Agnew each had a hit for Eckerd (14-38, 2-20), with Schurr scoring the Tritons' run in the second inning.
The Tritons will wrap up the 2011 season with a 6 p.m. doubleheader at Saint Leo on Thursday.
