BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Eckerd College softball team (9-16) split a doubleheader against Webber International (8-16) Wednesday at Nancy Nichols Field.
Webber pitcher Tiffany Ragans pitched a one-hit complete game shutout en route to the Warriors 4-0 win in the first game. WIU freshman Cody Windham went 3-for-4 with one run and two runs batted in.
Eckerd junior
Alex Sasso recorded the only hit for the Tritons.
Freshman
Kaitlyn Dougherty (4-4) picked up the 5-2 win in the second game. Dougherty went seven innings and gave up two runs off of three hits.
The Tritons managed five runs off of eight hits in the win. Sophomore
Sarah Agnew went 3-for-4 with one run and two runs batted in.
Eckerd will host conference opponent Florida Southern on Friday at 7 p.m. The Tritons will play a doubleheader with the Mocs on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. Live statistics will be available on eckerdtritons.com.
