MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Eckerd College women's soccer team was held off the scoreboard in a road defeat against Florida Tech on Wednesday afternoon, falling 0-5.
Casey Lademann scored a goal and assisted two others for the Panthers (10-3-1, 4-3-1 SSC), a former No. 1 in the NSCAA Div. II Coaches Poll this season. Four different teammates also found the net in a balanced scoring attack on FIT's Senior Day.
Florida Tech scored three goals in the first half against the Tritons (5-11, 0-7 SSC) while holding a 37-4 advantage in the shot department in the match.
Chelsea Pushman started the Florida Tech charge with a goal in the eighth minute. Fifteen minutes later, the Panthers held a 2-0 advantage off the leg of Christina Edwards, her first goal of the season.
Before the intermission, Florida Tech cashed in one more time on an unassisted boot from Brittany Corneau.
The Panthers added respective insurance scores in the second half on Lademann's 74th-minute goal and Kelly Whittaker found the back of the net in the late stages.

Morgan Crescent made 14 saves in the effort and Arielle Anahory recorded three of the four Tritons' shots on the afternoon.
The Tritons will complete the regular season on the road at 12th-ranked Rollins College this Friday, Oct., 28. The match is a makeup date after the originally-scheduled Oct. 18th showdown was rained out.
