FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern's Alex Siciliano and Alexis Hernandez each scored in the game's first 15 minutes to lead the Sharks to a 4-0 win over the Eckerd College women's soccer team on Tuesday.
Sarah Wareham and Susie Lee each added a second-half score, as NSU (7-3-1, 4-0-1 Sunshine State Conference) remained unbeaten in league play.
Goalkeeper Kelly Zahorski made seven saves for the Tritons (1-11, 0-6), who were out-shot 22-6. Nicole Davis and Dana Treat each tallied three shots – all on goal.
Siciliano got the scoring going on a penalty kick in the seventh minute, and Hernandez recorded her eighth goal of the year in the 15th minute.
The Tritons managed five shots in the second half.
Eckerd will return home this weekend, hosting Montreat College at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the Turley Athletic Complex. The game will be part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
