The Tritons applied pressure early, earning a pair of corners inside the opening eight minutes before Kaitlyn Shell and Lisa Fureh each put shots on target. Stetson broke through in the 25th minute to take a 1-0 advantage into halftime.

Eckerd came out aggressively after the break. Sylvia MohrSting and Fureh both forced saves inside the opening two minutes of the second half, but Stetson answered with goals in the 48th and 52nd minutes to stretch its lead to 3-0. Kailani Casazza responded with another shot on goal just 25 seconds after the third tally.

The Tritons continued to create chances despite the deficit. Ashley Nelson nearly put Eckerd on the board in the 62nd minute, ringing an attempt off the left post. Shell followed moments later with a shot on target, while Fureh forced another save in the 70th minute.

Fureh paced Eckerd with five shots, including three on goal. Shell added two shots on frame, while Madi Winn and Aubrey Cripe each collected three saves in 45 minutes of action. Eckerd outshot the Hatters 13-10 and held a commanding 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Tritons return to action Wednesday when they host Tampa at home.
