LAKELAND, Fla. – The Eckerd women's soccer team battled the Florida Southern Mocs to a scoreless draw Wednesday night on the road.

Eckerd generated the early pressure, producing six shots in the opening half while holding the Moccasins to four. Ashley Nelson placed an attempt on frame in the 18th minute before Lisa Fureh and Nell Doe followed with shots on goal later in the half. 

The Moccasins increased their pressure after the break, but Madi Winn and the Eckerd defense stood firm. Winn made four saves in the second half, including stops in the 75th and 84th minutes, to preserve the clean sheet.

Nelson produced Eckerd's lone shot of the second half in the 62nd minute, forcing another save from the home team.

Winn finished with six saves while recording the shutout. Nelson led Eckerd with two shots on goal, while Doe added two shots and one on frame. The Tritons placed four of their seven shots on target.

Florida Southern finished with a 15-7 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in shots on goal. The Moccasins held a narrow 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Eckerd moves to 3-1-3 overall and 0-0-2 in Sunshine State Conference play. The team will play at NCAA Division I Stetson on Saturday.
