DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Marcus Kennedy of the Eckerd men's track team became the first to be named All-SSC for the program on Saturday after finishing third in the 800m race at the SSC Championships.
Kennedy advanced to Saturday's finals after posting a PR time of 1:52.96 on Friday. On Saturday, he placed third overall with a mark of 1:53.12. With the finish, he earned All-Conference honors, which are awarded to the top three places in each event.

Renn Telles competed in the 1500m race on Saturday as well, finishing with a time of 4:14.37,
Eckerd will take part in the East Coast Relays on May 1-2 in Jacksonville, Fla.
