Baseball appears in NCBWA South Region poll

LAKELAND, Fla. -- For the first time this season, the Eckerd baseball team is ranked in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) South Region Poll, checking in at No. 9.

The Tritons are off to a 10-4 start, 5-1 in SSC action, and have won six straight contests. Eckerd received 17 points in this week's South Region poll and is one of three SSC teams listed in the top 10 rankings. The regional rankings come out every Tuesday, with the national poll to follow on Wednesdays.
