NCBWA names Tyler Brashear South Region Pitcher of the Week

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Two days after winning SSC Pitcher of the Week honors, Tyler Brashear of Eckerd baseball has been named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Pitcher of the Year Week for the South Region, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

Brashear earned the win on the mound in game three of the Tritons' sweep of Nova Southeastern over the weekend. He went seven innings and struck out 13, giving up just one hit and one run. After allowing a second-inning home run, he did not allow a base runner the rest of his outing.
