Bivens earns SSC Pitcher of the Week award

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Grady Bivens of the Eckerd baseball team has been named the SSC Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Bivens struck out 10 in 7.1 innings of work in the team's shutout victory over Florida Southern on Friday. He allowed just four hits and kept the Mocs off the scoreboard to pick up his sixth victory of the season. He now ranks second in the conference in ERA in league contests.
