LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons women's golf team placed fifth out of 15 over the two-day Lady Moc Classic at Grasslands CC on Monday and Tuesday.
Melissa Ball led the Tritons with a third-place standing after shooting 220 and 4-over par. Ball had her best performance come in round three on Tuesday, ending with a score of 71 at 1-under.
Tallulah Brooks-Williams was next for Eckerd in a tie for 16th, shooting her best score of 75 on Tuesday to move up the leaderboard.
Aubane Statiotis shot 233 in 35th, and teammate
Sofia Dyhre finished one stroke behind her in 42nd.
Sophie Foulds rounded out the Eckerd lineup in 69th with a score of 241.
As a team, the Tritons ended with a team score of 913, just two strokes out of fourth. Eckerd finished ahead of seven other SSC schools in attendance.
The Tritons will be back in action March 9-10 for the Buccaneer Invite hosted by Barry.
