ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons women's golf team saw two individuals finish in the top three at the World Golf Invitational at World Golf Village on Monday and Tuesday. The Tritons finished in 10th place as a team out of 16 schools in attendance.
Melissa Ball and
Aubane Statiotis each ended in a tie for third overall at just 1-over par and overall scores of 217. Ball saw her best performance come in round one, tying for a tournament-best 69 in the opener. She shot a 72 in round two before a 76 in Tuesday's round. Statiotis posted an even-par score of 72 in round one and then rounded out Monday with a 75. She ended the tournament with her best score on Tuesday, shooting a 70 for 2-under.
Tallulah Brooks-Williams was next for the Tritons in 70th overall with a score of 241.
Sofia Dyhre (77) and
Camille Padieu (84) rounded out the five for Eckerd.
The Tritons will be back in action on Feb. 23-24 for the Lady Moc Classic.
