Women's soccer climbs to No. 20 in latest NPI rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Eckerd women's soccer team moved up four spots to No. 20 in the latest NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings following a pair of Sunshine State Conference victories last week.

The Tritons, who debuted at No. 24 in the initial rankings last Monday, posted a 5-1 victory over Saint Leo on Wednesday before rallying for a 2-1 road win over Rollins on Saturday.

The two victories extended Eckerd's unbeaten streak to 10 games against Division II opponents, while the Tritons remain undefeated in SSC play.

The NCAA Power Index is a ranking system used to evaluate teams based on game results and strength of schedule. The rankings are updated throughout the season as additional games are played and opponents' NPI values change.

Eckerd returns to action Wednesday with a road contest at Barry at 7 p.m.
