PETERSBURG, Va. -- Reggie Fear of the Eckerd men's golf team is in the lead after the first day of the Griffin Invitational at The Country Club of Petersburg.
Through two rounds, Fear leads the field at 6-under par after shooting a 71 in round one and 67 in round two. He leads Nicholas Estrada of Palm Beach Atlantic by a single stroke enter Sunday's action. Teammate
Drew Campbell, who sat in a tie for the lead with Fear more than halfway through round two, currently sits in eighth overall at 1-under par. Campbell shot 68 in the opening round and 75 in round two.
Henry Wigg is in 31st with a score of 148, just four over.
Thayne Thomas and
Tyler Van Dusen round out the five for the Tritons in 68th and 76th.
As a team, Eckerd is in fifth place overall entering the final day, two strokes behind Saint Leo in fourth.
