KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Eckerd men's basketball team was honored for its academic excellence with a selection to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. Six Tritons were also named to the NABC Honors Court.
The recipients of the NABC Honors Court are:
Koa Baker,
Trey Johnson,
Ollie Pasque,
Micah Pierce,
Timothy Thompson, and
Reese White.
In order for student-athletes to be named to the honors court, they must post a grade point average of at least 3.2, and must be a junior or senior.
The team posted a 3.30 grade-point average, posting a 11-17 record on the year.
Teams must post a team grade point average of 3.0 or above to be named to the Team Academic Excellence Award.
