MELBOURNE, Fla.-
Isaiah Placide has been selected to the Sunshine State Conference Men's Basketball Team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday, March 5.
Placide, a senior guard from Hampton, Georgia, garnered third-team laurels after leading the team, averaging 20.1 points per game. He also averaged 4.1 boards, 1.2 assists, and 0.7 steals per game.
He had 13 games scoring 20-plus points with a career-high 35 in an upset victory over No. 18 Florida Southern on February 5.
He was selected as the SSC Player of the Week on February 10. He ranked 13th nationally in 3-pointers made and 32nd in total points.
MJ Iraldi of Nova Southeastern was tabbed as Player of the Year, while Defensive Player of the Year went to Alex Steen of Florida Southern. Freshman of the Year accolades went to Jaylan McElroy of Saint Leo, and Jim Crutchfield of Nova Southeastern was tabbed the Coach of the Year:
