MELBOURNE, Fla.- Chance Bucher has been selected to the Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday, March 5.
Bucher, a senior guard from Hall Moon Bay, California, received first-team honors after leading the Tritons, averaging 15.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. She also added 1.9 assists and 0.8 steals per game.
Nationally, she ranks 20th in the nation in 3-point percentage, shooting at a 39.1 percent clip. She's 28th in 3-pointers per game and 54th in defensive rebounds per game.
Bucher posted five double-doubles on the year, with a career-high 15 boards against West Florida on November 7 and 30 points in the SSC quarterfinals against Barry yesterday.
She was a four-time SSC Player of the Week, receiving Player of the Week laurels three times and defensive honors once.
Madyson Jean-Louis of Embry-Riddle received player and defensive player of the year accolades, while Kaliyah Morales of Barry was tabbed the freshman of the year, and Lisa Wilson of ERAU was selected the coach of the year.
