JACKSON, Tenn.- Chance Bucher has been selected to the D2 CCA Women's Basketball All- South Region Team, as announced by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association on Thursday, March 13.
Bucher, a senior guard from Hall Moon Bay, California, received second-team honors after leading the Tritons, averaging 15.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. She also added 1.9 assists and 0.8 steals per game.
Nationally, she ranks 19th in the nation in 3-point percentage, shooting at a 39.9 percent clip. She's 12th in 3-pointers per game and 42nd in defensive rebounds per game.
Bucher posted six double-doubles on the year, with a career-high 15 boards against West Florida on November 7 and 30 points in the SSC quarterfinals against Barry.
Bucher received first-team All-SSC honors, as well as being named to the SSC All-Tournament Team. She was a four-time SSC Player of the Week, receiving Player of the Week laurels three times and defensive honors once.
Junior guard, Lili Wilken of Alabama Huntsville was named South Region Player of the Year. Bucher was one of four SSC players named to the All-South Region Teams.
