Tritons Fall on the Road at No. 1 Nova Southeastern

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Eckerd men's basketball team hung close with the top-ranked Sharks in the first half but ultimately fell on the road, 101-85, to No. 1 Nova Southeastern on Saturday afternoon.

However, Isaiah Placide scored Eckerd's next 11 points to pull close before three points by Timothy Thomspon gave the Tritons a 14-13 favor at the 12-minute media. The teams swapped leads over the next four minutes before the Sharks used an 11-2 run to push in front for good. NSU took a 44-38 lead at the break.

NSU continued its strong offense to start the second half, pushing to 18 point lead at the 16-minute media. An 11-3 Tritons' run pulled Eckerd within 10 at the 13:35 mark.
