GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Five members of the Eckerd men's soccer program have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, the organization announced Tuesday.
Robert Thorarinsson,
Nico Fischer,
Marcus Kennedy,
Monty Clark, and
Liam Armstrong were among those recognized.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® men's soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Thorarinsson, a junior from Iceland, is studying Economics at Eckerd. He appeared in 15 games for the Tritons and scored three times to go with one assist. He led the team in shot percentage at .429.
Fischer, a junior from Argentina studying International Business, started 11 of the 14 games he appeared in this season.
Kennedy, a sophomore from Indianapolis, Ind., is an Economics major at Eckerd. He appeared in 16 games, starting 14 of them, and led the team in minutes played with over 1,200.
Clark, a junior from London, England, is a Management major at Eckerd. He started 13 of the 14 games played this season for the Tritons.
Armstrong, a senior from Lake in the Hills, Ill., is studying Business Administration at Eckerd. He appeared in all 16 games for the Tritons this season.
