BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Eckerd men's soccer team wrapped up the 2025 season on Saturday with a 4-0 loss against the No. 7 ranked Lynn Fighting Knights.
The Fighting Knights struck quickly in the contest with a tally in the 10th minute before putting up another just two minutes later for an early 2-0 advantage. Lynn added on with another in the 19th minute and scored once more right before halftime to bring a 4-0 lead into the break. The Fighting Knights out-shot the Tritons 7-2 in the frame, with both attempts for Eckerd coming from
Daniel Freire.
The Tritons posted an advantage in shots at 6-4 through the final 45 minutes, but neither team found the back of the net in the frame as the 4-0 score remained intact through the final whistle.
Stafford Clarke and
Monty Clark each put up shots on target early on in the second, while
Grady Johnson had one on the mark in the 82nd minute.
Eckerd ends the season with a 3-8-5 overall record.
