ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. -- The Eckerd Tritons women's golf team finished in sixth place out of 18 teams and had three individuals earn top 20 placements at the St. Simons Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.
Aubane Statiotis collected a 12th-place finish after ending the three-round tournament 6-over par. Statiotis posted consistent round scores throughout the tournament, including a best of 73 on Monday in round one.
Melissa Ball and
Sophie Foulds finished in a tie for 18th overall at 8-over. Both Ball and Foulds each moved up the leaderboard on Tuesday with tournament-best scores in round three. Ball was +1 in the final round of action, while Foulds hit even-par to conclude the invite.Â
Tallulah Brooks-Williams placed 53rd with a score of 234,
Camille Padieu finished in 58th with a score of 236, and
MacKenzie Vongphosy ended in 71st at 242.Â
As a team, the Tritons placed sixth, just two strokes behind fifth.Â
Eckerd will be back in action Oct. 20-21 for the Saint Leo Invite.Â
